Job Description:

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

  • Actively contribute to win strategies, key pursuits and successful project execution and become involved at a hands-on level on projects should issues impacting client satisfaction or project management best practices escalate.
  • Actively contribute to the growth of the Aviation Sector through business development, key pursuit, and strategy
  • Expand our reach and client base utilizing strong marketing, business development, and account management plans.
  • Increase visibility of Thrasher by sharing our knowledge and innovation story through key client engagements to enhance our reputation and drive revenue.
  • Directs one or more project teams in the development of contract plans for aviation projects according to established engineering standards and state and federal policies.
  • Develop network of airport clients.
  • Attend board meetings at various general aviation airports.
  • Provides guidance, project development and timely communication to airport boards.
  • Establishes project goals, milestones, and procedures, defines roles and responsibilities, coordinates project resources, and monitors project progress.
  • Reviews project documents for conformity and quality assurance
  • Thorough knowledge and application of FAA design standards and specifications
  • Knowledge of FAA and state airport capital funding processes
  • Identify staffing needs and coordinates assignments to ensure they are on schedule and within budget.
  • Prepares and/or reviews and approves scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments and projects
  • Interacts with clients, customers, regulatory and funding agencies, contractors, and others.
  • Gathers data and information required in the development of aviation grants and facilities.
  • May be required to assist and participate in the preparation of funding grant applications.
  • Monitors contractor’s construction effort and quality
  • May prepare and present public reports to a variety of audiences.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Represent Thrasher at key professional organizations.
To be successful in this position, you will bring;
  • Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in aviation planning, engineering, architecture, or related field
  • 10 years of aviation experience with a minimum of 7 years as a PM.
  • In-depth knowledge of both landside and airside planning.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio, or the ability to obtain, is required.
  • Excellent communication, time-management and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for aviation and airports.
  • Ability to build relationships with both internal and external clients.
