The 2021 Ohio Aviation Association Annual Conference is going to be offered virtually!  We will bring you news, know-how, and connections to keep "Ohio Aviation Strong!"  From State and Federal funding updates, legislative news, and topics to help manage today's airports and work with their communities, you won't want to miss the 2021 Annual Conference!  

Call for Presenter Abstracts

It is that time again!

• Time to think about all the questions/issues you have heard from airports.
• Time to think about how you can share your knowledge.
• Time to think about how to highlight your business and skillset.
• Time to think about submitting an abstract to be considered for the 2021 OAA Virtual Annual Conference

Here are some recently requested topics...but this is just the tip of the iceberg so think outside the box:

• Off-Airport Access minimum standards, agreements, and FAA’s perspective
• Attracting Bidders and DBE Participation for Airport Projects
• Rate Setting 101
• Talent: Attraction and Retention in Aviation
• Leases: The good, the bad, and how to correct the ugly
• Airspace: The team approach to protecting the airspace
• UAS: What is the role of public-use airports?
• Is it Music or Noise: the latest information relating to noise and mitigation
• Airport Safety Management System: what and how-to for all sized airports
• Best management practices for airport farm ground and other non-aviation uses.
• Financial Sustainability
• What are an airport’s liabilities and how to manage them
• Flight Checks: What to expect and what to avoid

To submit, complete the Google form found HERE by May 14, 2021.

Recommendations:

Complete the Google form, on time and in full, to be considered for a 2021 OAA Annual Conference Virtual Presentation Session. To complete the form, you will need presenter contact information (including co-presenters), short bios on each, and a description of the proposed presentation.

Other useful tips:
1) Select a topic our members can take back to their organizations and put to use.
2) Our members like to hear about lessons learned and how-tos in addition to theory.
3) Keep the diverse size of airport members in mind when selecting your topic.
