Title of Community Event: Akron-Canton Airport 5K on the Runway
Date/Time of Event: October 13, 2018
Race Departs at 9 am
Location of Event: Akron-Canton Airport and MAPS Museum
2600 International Parkway
Green, OH 44720
Event Description: A truly one-of-a-kind experience as the Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) welcomes runners on to their taxiways to view the airport and airfield from a unique perspective! The race will start and finish at the MAPS Air Museum. The course will take you out on to the runway/taxiway areas of the airport that are normally restricted for aircraft only. Expect a fast course dotted with historical aircraft, military aircraft and service men and women. Plus, join us as we "Stuff the Plane" by bringing canned goods / non-perishable foods as we attempt to fill an airplane entirely with donated items for the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank.
