Welcome Russell W. Mills, Ph. D., from BGSU to the Board of Directors!

December 13, 2017

At the Ohio Aviation Association's December board meeting, the Board of Directors unanimously voted to place Russell W. Mills, Ph.D., Associate Professor at BGSU, on the Board of Directors. He will be filling a vacated spot with a term ending in April 2019.  Russ received a B.A. in Political Science from Westminster College, a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Vermont, and a Ph.D. from Kent State University (with his Dissertation on the Use of Voluntary Reporting Programs by the Federal Aviation Administration).

Russ has been an Associate Professor and Research Fellow for the Department of Aviation, Department of Political Science, and Center for Regional Development at BGSU since 2012.  While serving in that role, he also serves as the President of Keystone Aviation Consulting of Perrysburg, Ohio. Prior to 2012, he served as a Policy Analyst in the Office of Policy and Plans for the FAA and as an Air Service Development Consultant for Burlington International Airport (Vermont).

In his free time, he enjoys golfing, cheering for Pittsburgh sports teams, and spending time with his son Cooper and wife Ashley watching airplanes at Detroit Metro or Toledo Express airport.  The Ohio Aviation Association is pleased to have Russ join the Board of Directors. He has been a volunteer on our board helping on the Education Committee. He will now also serve on the Advocacy Committee.  Please join us in welcoming Russ to the OAA's BOD!
