Title of Advertisement: Airport Operations Technician II (job id 1469)

Location of Work: Cuyahoga County Airport Richmond Hts. Ohio

Job Description:
Maintain safety of airport runway, taking friction measurements, assessing and transmitting airport condition reports. Review reports and make physical inspections of airport and identifies hazards. Perform aircraft and firefighting duties; operate fire truck and firefighting equipment. Maintain security of airport. inspect grounds and buildings. Provide maintenance and cleaning services to maintain airport buildings and grounds mow grass and remove snow and ice. Must be able to work First, Second, and third shifts. Two years of Vocational and technical training and maintenance trades, safety and security experience and airport operations or any equivalent combination of education or experience. An Ohio Commercial Drivers License Class B with a current medical certificate is required along with the ability to operate various pieces of equipment. Basic math skills are required along with the ability to comprehend and communicate. Must be able to work out doors in varying weather conditions and respond to emergency situations. Training for AAAE Basic Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting will be provided. Those candidates who do not have a Ohio Commercial Drivers License Class B will have 6 months from their date of hire (probationary Period) to obtain one.
